My Professional Background

My journey into counseling has been filled with meaningful experiences that have shaped who I am today. Through my work in Social Work, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people in many different seasons of life.

Early on, I worked closely with elderly people and those with Alzheimer’s and saw just how much love, connection, and family truly matter—especially as we age. That experience stayed with me. Later, working in a Level 1 hospital in Cardiology and ICU, I discovered a deep passion for the mind-body connection and how closely our mental and physical health are tied together.

For 14 years working with the military, I saw the power of hands-on approaches like Play Therapy in helping people heal from trauma. Those experiences deeply shaped how I show up as a counselor today.

After moving to Minnesota, I was given the incredible opportunity to work as a Christian counselor. Being able to bring faith into the counseling space has been one of the greatest blessings of my career.

More recently, I’ve worked in a Level 4 specialized school setting, supporting children with unique and higher needs. During that time, I was also able to pursue two passions of mine—leading therapeutic drumming groups and incorporating stretching, deep breathing and meditation into classrooms to help build social skills and emotional balance.

When I look back, I can clearly see how God has been guiding each step of this journey. Every experience has led me here—with a heart to help you not just get through life, but truly thrive.
